In 2023, our founder Mark Robson took part in the Pedalling for Pubs challenge, riding over 450km from the west to east coast of beautiful Sri Lanka. Along with riders from across the hospitality sector, Mark helped raise over £320,000 for 'The Licensed Trade Charity' and 'Only a Pavement Away', who support people who work in the pub and hospitality industry.

In 2024, it will be New Dawn Director Mark Williams's turn, who will be cycling 400km from Nairobi to the Masai Mara from 18th – 21st March. We'll be donating 10p of every pint of Peroni sold between now and March to support the fundraising efforts, and you can help too!

In early September 2023, local businesses New Dawn Pubs, InstaGroup, The Barley Mow, and 1st Call Trees joined forces to raise as much money as possible for their annual charity challenge. This year, the task was to walk the entirety of the Isle of Wight (approximately 100km) over 3 days. Unbeknown to the team, they were to undertake this tough challenge on the hottest days of the whole year!

Close to our hearts, Cherry Trees was the chosen local charity, which is based in East Clandon, Guildford. The charity provides exceptional home-from-home, specialist short-break respite visits for children and young adults aged 0-19 who may suffer from a range of complex disabilities including learning, physical and sensory impairments. It is such a unique place, providing professional care in a safe, stimulating, and fun environment, where every child is valued for who they are. It is a community that is dedicated to children and young people, enabling them to spend time with friends and enjoy new experiences and opportunities, while their families have a much-needed break from care themselves.

Our InstaGroup friends brought plenty of passion, laughs, and energy to the three-day challenge. As a local business that develops and delivers energy efficiency solutions and acoustic systems for housebuilders, homeowners, commercial properties, and local authorities across the UK, we all felt this was a charity that we simply had to support.

National Energy Action is a national charity working to end fuel poverty in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The charity offers advice and support to fuel-poor households, as well as advocating for policy and regulation to protect the most vulnerable households.
